Things to do in Biloxi MS
With the scenic Mississippi Gulf just across the street, guests can discover an abundance of beach activities and water sports just minutes from our Doubletree hotel in Biloxi. Take advantage of our fantastic golf packages, or for fishing enthusiasts, we offer easy access to a variety of day trips and popular sites. Try your luck on the slots at one of several casinos nearby; where you can also enjoy an evening of fine-dining and entertainment, or be pampered with a luxury spa therapy. Take the ferry to Ship Island, or treat the kids to a fun, whimsical day out at Lynn Meadows Discovery Center – Mississippi’s original children’s museum. Whether it is for a group of 10-40 people, or simply you and your partner, our friendly, professional staff will be happy to help you with any enquiries or booking arrangements. Winter is actually a bit of a down season in Biloxi as far as activities for teens because the water at the beach is chilly then, and so are most of the hotel pools, but there are some things for them to do around town. It really depends on their interests. There are arcades at IP and Beau Rivage that have plenty of games for older kids, and there’s also an arcade and miniature golf at Big Play Family Fun Center. If they play real golf, there’s plenty of opportunity around Biloxi for that, too, of course. They’re probably a bit old for most of the exhibits at the Lynn Meadows Discovery Center, though they do have a few things of interest to older kids. It’s a great museum for the young ones, though! There will also be some Christmas events going on; just depends which dates exactly you’ll be in town.
Most of the Christmas events in our area are earlier in the month (probably the same in most places, I think), but the Beau Rivage will have a Spirit of Christmas show every night at 7 p.m. The show should be pretty entertaining, family friendly and about $10 per ticket. Beauvoir, the Jefferson Davis home, also gets all decked out for the holidays, with the grounds beautifully lit up and tours of the house, which is an interesting stop for history buffs any time of the year. The weather in December can be warm and sunny or cool and rainy; you just never know what you’re going to get on any particular day. But if it’s nice while you’re here, it will still be enjoyable to stroll on the beach, and the kids can also walk around the Hard Rock and look at the music memorabilia and such. Its true Biloxi isn’t kid or teen-focused, especially in winter, but for a couple days there should be plenty to keep them entertained, and you’ll all have a ball. Hope that helps!
Dine like a rock star among pop, soul, and rock ‘n’ roll memorabilia like costumes and instruments from your favorite musicians at the Hard Rock Cafe. Skip the lines with priority seating and enjoy a classic meal and a cookie.
Don’t wait for a seat—with priority access, you can zip past the crowds and cozy up to your table in no time. As you wait for your cheeseburger, pasta, grilled chicken sandwich, or salad, listen to the music playing over the speakers and peruse the wide variety of rock ‘n’ roll memorabilia.
After dessert, take another look around. View classic items on display, like a black pinstripe jacket worn by Paul McCartney of The Beatles, a Gibson Les Paul guitar signed by KISS guitarist Paul Stanley, and a guitar owned and signed by ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons.
